Berkeley Public Library Introduces Books by Mail

Berkeley, November 25, 2014—Berkeley Public Library is introducing a new service for the homebound—Books by Mail. We will send out books, movies and other library materials through the United States Postal Service. After use, patrons or caregivers simply mail the materials back to us with the convenient reusable packages. Pre-paid postage is included. Interested patrons need to fill out the application found on our website.

This free service is for Berkeley residents whose have no viable option to use the Library's facilities and resources due to permanent or long-term disability. For assistance or questions, please call 510-981-6174.

For more information about our other services for people with disabilities such as adaptive internet workstations, Reading Edge, described or close-captioned videos, extended borrowing time and more, see our website: https://www.berkeleypubliclibrary.org/about/disability-services or call 510-981-6174.
