Accordion Virtuoso Rob Reich and his Trio @Claremont Library

Berkeley CA February 9—Hear Rob Reich and his trio perform music that defies genres on Saturday, March 5th, 2016 at 3:00pm at the Claremont Branch of the Berkeley Public Library, located at 2940 Benvenue at Ashby Avenue. Accordionist, pianist and composer Rob Reich is a standout accordion virtuoso and is well-known for his trio, his original compositions and his work with bands like Tin Hat, Nice Guy Trio and Ben Goldberg School and others.

His music combines strong melodic ideas, rhythmic drive, and a spirit of irreverence and experimentation. The music marries familiar gems with his own high-energy material, crafting a performance that has been described as magical. Please join us to see this Bay Area stalwart at work close-up. Hear why his trio has been described as quintessentially what makes the San Francisco Bay Area music scene a vibrant and vital mecca for independent music.
