Container Gardening @Claremont

Container gardening is fun and practical. Learn the basics in a free demonstration led by Patricia St. John and Carla Schneiderman, members of the Berkeley Garden Club. They'll cover the whys and hows of container planting including selecting containers, ensuring adequate drainage and setting up a watering and fertilization schedule.

Piano Chat for Seniors @Claremont

Join us for a special hands-on program for seniors! On four consecutive Wednesdays in May at 1:00pm., pianist and teacher Brenda Becker will offer a one-hour piano instruction event built around mastering chords and having fun together. In anticipation of the 34th Annual Quilt Show (May 1 - June 7),  join the Textile Mavens and learn basic quilting techniques. Catherine Durand and Fern Royce will guide participants in creating a beautiful quilted bookmark.  All participants are invited to submit their work for display in the upcoming Quilt Show.  Supplies provided.  Space is limited: call 510-981-6236 to sign up for one of four half hour slots.  The last session begins at 6:30 p.m.  For ages 6 and up.
