The Berkeley Public eLibrary is a collection of licensed resources that the library provides to all cardholders. To use: Start by selecting a category to see the most relevant resources for it. We then list our most popular databases that cover almost any topic. Finally, we have an A-Z list of all of our resources. If you already know the title of the resource you are looking for, then press [Ctrl+F] and type the title to take you directly to it.

Yes you can if you download them before leaving the country. You will not be able to download or access streaming resources from outside the country.
There are several reasons why you may be unable to use electronic resources with your card. Please call us at (510) 981-6177. If you prefer to come in, please bring your ID and proof of your current address, which can be postmarked mail addressed to you.

On OverDrive, the library orders copies of titles just like in paper form. If there are many holds, we will order (license) more copies. On hoopla, the limit is on the number of titles you download per month.
