Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program Talk @Central CMR

BORP (Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program) advances the lives of people with physical disabilities through sports and recreational activities.

Join us in the 3rd floor Community Meeting Room at 3:00 on September 29 for a talk with Trooper Johnson (photographer & Youth Sports Program Director), Greg Milano (Adaptive Cycling Center Director), and Chris Finn (Power Soccer Coach).

Science of Space @CCR (Registration Required)

Lawrence Hall of Science and GSK sponsor this fun, hands-on science education program where kids learn the basic concepts behind spectroscopy, micrometeroids, rocketry, and more. Students explore the sun's energy, the phases of the moon, human survival in space, and how rockets overcome Earth's gravity. 

For kids entering 2nd-6th grade. Registration is required. Call 510-981-6223 to register for this program.

STEM Workshops: Fairy Tale Engineers @North REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Your young engineers engage directly with the design process as they work together to solve problems for beloved fairy tale characters. Ages 4-8.

Registration is required, as space and materials are limited. Please call 510-981-6250 to register from August 17-28. 

The Bay Area Discovery Museum presents these STEM workshops, which provide a playful, hands-on, multisensory exploration of STEM content while encouraging risk-taking, collaborative problem solving, and creative thinking.
