Celebrate the year of the dragon! Join us for a special storytime with author Oliver Chin on Saturday, May 11 at 10:30am. Oliver Chin will introduce and read his newest children's picture book The Year of the Dragon (now revised, bilingual in simplified Chinese) in the North Branch children's area.

About The Year of the Dragon
2024 is the Year of the Dragon! Dominic’s parents rule advise the Emperor, and have high expectations for their son. Meanwhile Dom befriends the boy Bo and the other zodiac animals, who wish to paddle a boat in the village’s annual river race. But when other people and Dom’s parents disapprove, what will Dom do? Dom’s journey to an ingenious solution will reveal his true nature and delight children and adults. Bright and dynamic illustrations will appeal to new parents, those interested in Asian culture, and, of course, dragon lovers.
