Teens, come craft with us after school from 2-6! We will have easy and fun crafts for you to do in the teen room or take home with you. There's a new craft every week, and it will be available all week.

November's schedule:

week of 11/1: Dia de los Muertos stickers. Color your own sugar skull sticker!

week of 11/15: Watercolors. Free paint or color in a design using watercolor paints.

week of 11/21: Coloring bookmarks. Zen out with colored pencils and take home a cool bookmark.

Join us for another Art in the Park at Strawberry Creek Park!

Find us on the field in front of the Hidden Cafe (1250 Addison Street). October 19 from 4-5:30pm. Free event for children and families. Join us this session to create colorful recycled sculptures!

About MOCHA:

Like to knit?  Join our Knitting Group at the Central Library.  We meet every second Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 4:30 PM.  Beginners to experts of all ages are welcome. Knitting needles and yarn will be available, but bring your own if you have a project in mind. This group meets in the Mystery Room at the Central Library. Masks are required.

10/4: Pronoun buttons. Celebrate LGBTQ+ history month by making colorful buttons with your preferred pronouns. Yes, you get to use the button maker!

10/18: Black cat bookmarks. It's almost Halloween, but these black cat bookmarks are more cute than spooky!

Please join us for a series of Halloween themed paper crafting sessions. All supplies and instructions will be provided. This program is most suitable for preschool-kindergarten aged children.

Join us at San Pablo Park for another Art in the Park w/ MOCHA! We'll be doing some yarn-art!

Join artist @SusanDemingFlower and learn how to make pop-up cards! All supplies are provided and participants will take home cards they make in this hands-on workshop.

Please join the Berkeley Public Library in creating either a meditation or manifestation box at the Central Library (The Commons). This program is centered around mindfulness and mastering inner peace. During this experience you will be invited to craft your own reality using a blank canvas, your collage skills and creativity!

Teens - are you a plant person (or dream of becoming one)? Are you curious about mental health resources? If the answer to either of these questions is YES, join us for an afternoon with PlanterDay! We will be decorating pots and repotting plants. Everyone gets to take home their own plant!

We will also have a volunteer from Crisis Support Services of Alameda County to talk about teen resources for mental health and wellness. September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and this will be a safe space to learn about resources and connect with community.
