Scary Stories, Past and Present - ADDIE TSAI

- (ended)

Join us for a spine-chilling storytime to get you in the Halloween spirit! First, hear author and artist Addie Tsai read from their new novel, Unwieldy Creatures, a biracial, queer, gender-swapped retelling of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and participate in a live Q&A. Then enjoy a horror classic, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as read by Anthony Quayle. (Unwieldy Creatures is on order at BPL, but Link+ has you covered for now!)

This is the first installment of Scary Stories, Past and Present, a series of virtual storytimes for adults where we pair modern and classic horror stories. Each new story is read by its author, followed by a short Q&A where you ask the questions. The golden oldies are all from BPL's very own vinyl record collection, found on the 5th Floor at Central (reopening in November!). Tune in for more scary stories on October 24 & 31 (see event calendar for more info).
