Can you use free legal advice? The Lawyers in the Library (LiL) program at the Central Library is scheduled to take place the 2nd Tuesday of every month, but please call on the event date to confirm at 510-981-6148. Sign up at the 2nd floor Reference Desk, in person only, beginning at 5:00 pm. Names will be drawn by lottery at 6:00 pm No telephone sign-ups. The lawyer consults from 6:00 pm tp 7:30 pm, and sees up to 7 people for about 10-15 minutes each.
Sign-ups start the Thursday evening prior at 6pm and go to 7:30pm. For a spot with our visiting lawyer, call Thursday evening and sign-up or drop-in on Friday morning, while the lawyer is present. Call 510-981-6270 for more information.

Walk-in slots may be available on a "first-come-for-first-served" basis should someone not show up for their appointed time.
