Join us for a Drop-In Makerspace. We'll have materials for duct tape crafts, decoupage, zentangle and more. We provide the supplies to help you get inspired…you make whatever you want! All teens of middle and high school age are welcome.

4th floor Story Room
Make a set of 10 notecards with envelopes, to give as gifts or keep for yourself. We'll use recycled library books to line our envelopes, and an "I love my library stamp" to decorate the front of the card. Inside, you can write a note on the DueDate card.

Live jazz by violinist India Cooke and drummer Don Robinson helps make stories come to life, while you create art! Artist and educator Lisa DiPrima is there to guide you with your art, and reading stories from Hana Hashimoto, Sixth Violin by Chieri Uegaki, and Beautiful Blackbird by Ashley Bryan.
4th Floor, Central Children's Room
Join respected wildlife conservationist Chris Austria on a stunning, intimate, and rare visual journey into the realm of wild Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Austria (who works with Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Uganda, founded by Dr. Jane Goodall) uses his keen and sensitive photographic eye to reveal a different, underappreciated perspective on the lush, green and fascinating landscapes of Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia. This program is free and all are welcome!
5th floor Art & Music
Meet the artists from the library's 10th Annual Staff Art Show. Light refreshments will be served. Stay for the Performers' Showcase at 2:00 pm, also on the 5th floor, when staff musicians and performance artists will share their art.
In celebration of Banned Books Week, we will engage in a little "creative censoring" of our own, taking pages of existing text and redacting all the words we don't want to keep to create our own, new poetic creations! All teens welcome,
