Tarea Hall Pittman South Branch teen leadership group hosts a teen tour of the Berkeley Art Museum. How to be an Artist with JoAnneh Nagler @Central CMR

Berkeley, CA. October 18—Is your inner artist just bursting to break free and express itself? This is your chance to liberate your artistic self while maintaining a healthy financial life in the process. Join us Saturday, November 5, 2:00-3:30 pm in our third floor Community Meeting Room at the Central Library as local author, artist, and entrepreneur JoAnneh Nagler shares her new book How to be an Artist. Nagler presents a fascinating discussion of life as an artist, including work-life balance, making ends meet in art, and creating time for one's art. Rick Paulus Artist's Talk @Central CMR

Come hear calligrapher Rick Paulus discuss his work as chief calligrapher of the White House and calligrapher to five secretaries of state, as well as his recently created works celebrating the sea. He'll also talk about the great changes in calligraphy as we enter the digital age, behind-the-scenes vignettes of White House and diplomatic entertaining, and his forays on the high seas and the Pacific Crest Trail.
