The Visible Theater presents a work-in-progress reading of Under Heaven. Inspired by a 14th century play, Under Heaven features a Chinese-born adoptee who is forced to confront her feelings about the country that gave her up when she comes into possession of an artifact sought by the Chinese government.
Jon Wai-keung Lowe is a Bay Area playwright, designer, and developer. His works have been staged at the Bay Area One-Acts Festival, ShotzSF, the San Francisco Fringe Festival, and Playground SF. This project is supported by grants from Theatre Bay Area's CA$H program and from the City of Berkeley.
