The Story and Songs of Pete Seeger @Claremont

Tim Holt portrays Pete Seeger, telling his life story and singing songs in this lively, live-music-filled show. Best for adults, teens and children ages eight and up. Tim encourages audience participation so you’ll have a chance to accompany him when he performs  "If I Had A Hammer," "We Shall Overcome," "Union Maid," and "This Land".  Free. What's happening at Berkeley Rep? An Octoroon @Central CMR

3rd floor Community Meeting Room

A docent from the renowned Berkeley Repertory Theatre will discuss the current production, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' "An Octoroon".  2016 MacArthur Fellow Jacobs-Jenkins won the Obie award for his radical, incendiary and subversively funny riff on an 1859 mustache-twilring melodrama.  Come hear about the play and the playwright in a facilitated discussion.
