Taiko Drumming w/Kristy Oshiro @Claremont

Come and learn about Japanese art of taiko! Feel the thunderous sounds of the drums vibrating through your body as language, culture, and history combine into an exciting educational experience. Come see this amazing one person show where you will be introduced to this aspect of Japanese music and culture through drumming, story telling, and bamboo flute music. You will even get a chance to play the drums yourself! 

All ages.

Playreaders @Central CMR

3rd floor Community Meeting Room

Playreaders does what the name says- we read great plays aloud, changing parts frequently so everyone gets a chance to read.  No auditions or registration necessary- just show up and join in the fun.  Plays are selected annually by the Playreaders themselves and range from Shakespeare to Stoppard.  Questions?  Call Debbie Carton at 510-981-6236.
