How to Make Comic Zines @Central

Ever wondered how to get started making your own comic? Then this is the workshop for you! Longtime zine-maker/comic creator Sumiko Saulson is here to explain how to create your very own comic zine(s), from the first spark of an idea to the finished product. The workshop includes both instruction and lots of time to work on your comic zine. All supplies are provided. Attendees also get a handout to take home that will guide you (or friends!) through comic zine creation in the future.

Intro to Zines @Central

Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of zines! A zine (said like "zeen") is a hand-made booklet full of YOUR ideas and art. Fill it with words, pictures, poems, comics... anything at all, and share your voice with the world. At this workshop, you'll learn what a zine is, where they came from, and how to make your very own minizine (an 8-page zine made from a single sheet of paper). Come with your curiosity and curiosity, and we'll provide the rest!
