Teens - are you a plant person (or dream of becoming one)? Are you curious about mental health resources? If the answer to either of these questions is YES, join us for an afternoon with PlanterDay! We will be decorating pots and repotting plants. Everyone gets to take home their own plant!
We will also have a volunteer from Crisis Support Services of Alameda County to talk about teen resources for mental health and wellness. September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and this will be a safe space to learn about resources and connect with community.
Teens, come create your own zines at the North Branch! Zines are handmade, mini magazines that can be about anything you want - from your favorite K-Pop band to Berkeley's best breakfast spots, to a personal story. We will have all the materials you need to get super creative. This program will be outside, on the lawn.
Like to knit? Join our Knitting Circle at North Branch Library. We meet every fourth Wednesday of the month from 2pm to 4pm. Beginners to experts of all ages are welcome. Knitting needles and yarn will be available, but bring your own if you have a project in mind. This group meets outside the entrance of North Branch and masks are required.
Like to crochet? Join our Crochet Group at North Branch Library. We meet every second Wednesday of the month from 2pm to 4pm. Beginners to experts of all ages are welcome. Crochet hooks and yarn will be available, but bring your own if you have a project in mind. This group meets outside the entrance of North Branch and masks are required.
Have you ever wondered how to self-publish your own work? From comics to recipes to poetry to manifestos, anything is possible when we learn the power of how to make and share ZINES!!!
What's a zine (said zeen)? It's a short, handmade booklet about anything you want to share with the world--and anyone can make one!
