Support the Library
It takes a city to support the Library! Many citizens and organizations contribute to the health of the Berkeley Public Library.
Berkeley Public Library Foundation
The Berkeley Public Library Foundation was established in 1997. Its mission is to raise funds to support and enhance the facilities, programs, and services of the Berkeley Public Library. The Foundation's first and highly successful undertaking was to complete a $4.1 million capital campaign to fund furniture, fixtures and equipment for the 2002 renovation of the Central Library. Since that time, it has continued to raise funds for various Library projects. The Foundation recently launched, The Neighborhood Libraries Campaign to raise $3.5 million to assist with the Branch Library renovation program. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and currently has a paid staff of two. More information is available online: www.bplf.org
