Library Locations and Services

Drop in to any of our locations during open hours to take advantage of our books, magazines, newspapers, computers and helpful staff.  Whether you have a card already or are just passing through, you can visit and enjoy our great spaces.

Inside the library, you can:

  • get reading recommendations and research help from library staff
  • read magazines, books and newspapers
  • use your computer on our free WiFi ((BPL-Wireless, password berkeley) or our computers
  • use our state of the art, free meeting rooms for groups of 10 or more
  • use private study rooms at South and West branches
  • check out tools from our Tool Lending Library (Berkeley residents and property owners only)
  • enjoy storytimes for our younger patrons and families
  • get crafty and creative at our Makerspace
  • learn your family history with our Ancestry.com access
  • get free legal advice at the branches with Lawyers in the Library
  • access free small business support with SCORE at the Central library
