Comics, manga and anime fans - bring your friends or make new ones while reading, watching, drawing and talking about graphic novels of all genres. Every Tuesday from 4-5:30 at the Tarea Hall Pittman South Branch.
All teens are welcome and snacks will be provided.

Cat Cafe @North
In partnership with Berkeley Animal Care Services, the Berkeley Public Library is hosting Cat Cafe at North Branch Library on Thursday, August 24 from 3pm to 5pm!
Meet adoptable cats, enjoy some hot chocolate, browse information on pet care, and do a cat-themed craft in the Community Meeting Room. These cats are in need of forever homes, but adoption is not necessary to visit. All are welcome; children, please bring parents.

Dance & Rhythm With La Mezcla
La Mezcla is a poly rythmic dance group rooted in Chicana, Latina, Indigenous traditions and social justice. Come enjoy their award winning documentary followed by a dance demonstration.
Founded in 2015 by Dance/USA fellow Vanessa Sanchez, their work brings together Tap dance, Son Jarocho and Afro-Caribbean rhythms to bring the often unseen histories and experiences of communities of color to stages, streets and fields

Celebrate National Night out with your commmunity at the library! Mingle with others and enjoy live jazz music courtesy of the "Bay Area Jazz Mobile", buttonmaking crafts and more.

Self-Care Kits for Teens @North
The beginning of the school year can bring up a lot of emotions - maybe you are nervous, excited, anxious, lonely, overwhelmed, or all of the above! Come by the North Branch after school to make a self-care kit full of goodies to help you through the beginning of the school year. There will also be volunteers from SafeSpace, a peer-led mental health organization, there to share resources with you. Find out more about them here: https://safespace.org/ .
