Berkeley Public Library North Branch Host Career Goals Workshop

Berkeley, CA –August 12, 2016 – Learn more about college and careers at the Berkeley Public Library free Career Goals Workshop at the North Branch on Thursday, September 1 from 7:00-8:00pm. Bonnie Xu works with students U.C. Davis on college selection, professional behavior for college and work, and selecting a career. This free workshop is open to everyone, and is a great way for teens and adults to learn more about what they can do to explore future careers, research potential colleges, and learn professional skills. Xu has hosted workshops, organized college tours, managed mentorship programs, and facilitated professional networking programs. At this free workshop, Xu will help prospective students explore careers based on their own skills and interests, discover how to choose colleges relevant to career goals and learn “How to Ace Professionalism,” about ways your email address and resume can impact your success.

This free event is made possible by a generous gift from the Pace Trust, in support of the North Branch of the Berkeley Public Library.

The North Branch Library is located at 1170 The Alameda, Berkeley CA 94707, and is open: Monday, 10:00am-6:00pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00am-8:00pm, Thursday 12noon -8:00pm, and Friday and Saturday, 10:00am-6:00pm. For more information about this program call 510-981-6250.
