Bring calm to a hectic time of year! Instructor Angela Madonia will lead us in yoga postures that support releasing tension while stretching, balancing and strengthening the body in a gentle and supportive way. Movement, breath exercises and mindfulness meditation techniques will be presented simply and accessibly. You will leave with some tools to take with you for those moments when you want to calm your system and to reconnect.
Angela Madonia has taught yoga and mindfulness since 2007. She has brought the tools of yoga and meditation to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, eating disorders, trauma, domestic violence, chronic pain, and stress. She also works with children and youth in school settings. It is her passion to bring these tools to communities that may not have access to it in settings beyond the yoga studio. She has completed 200-hour yoga teacher training in Vermont and a 500-hour therapeutic yoga teacher training in San Francisco.
