Flash fiction, or very short stories between 100 and 1,000 words, can be a playful and inviting way to get into—or back into—writing. Read and discuss a variety of samples and then pen your own stories to a series of ten-minute writing exercises. Students should bring paper and pen (or a laptop) for writing. New and experienced writers welcome.
Bring calm to a hectic time of year! Instructor Angela Madonia will lead us in yoga postures that support releasing tension while stretching, balancing and strengthening the body in a gentle and supportive way. Movement, breath exercises and mindfulness meditation techniques will be presented simply and accessibly. You will leave with some tools to take with you for those moments when you want to calm your system and to reconnect.
