National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a creative writing project launched by the nonprofit of the same name to encourage writers of all ages to complete a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 pm November 30. This year, Berkeley Public Library and NaNoWriMo encourage potential novelists to come to one or more writing-related events offered at all of our locations.
Come Write In is a time and place to connect with other writers. Bring your laptop or tablet, favorite pencil, notebook and your library card (if you want to reserve a laptop from us to use for an hour or two) and write away. We have great resources online or in the library to help with your writing, from grammar guides to thesauruses: as well as books on how to plot your novel find an agent and get your book published. Ask a librarian! Come between 10:00 am-5:30 pm any of the times below: Food and drink are allowed in the Library Meeting Rooms.
