"Forever, Chinatown" @Central CMR

February 25, 2018 - 2:00pm-3:30pm (ended)

3rd floor Community Meeting Room

"Forever, Chinatown" is the story of unknown, self-taught 81-year-old artist Frank Wong who has spent the past four decades recreating his fading memories by building romantic, extraordinarily detailed miniature models of the San Francisco Chinatown rooms of his youth. You can see some of these dioramas at the Chinese Historical Society Museum in San Francisco Chinatown- use your Berkeley Public Library Discover and Go pass to gain free admission!

Meet director James Q. Chan, who will answer questions after the screening of the 32 minute documentary.  This special presentation is offered in conjunction with the Berkeley Public Library's 2nd Annual Diorama contest.
