November 17, 2018 - 1:30pm-4:00pm (ended)

3rd floor Community Meeting Room

Book Into Film is a library series meeting every other month, where you are invited to read the book on your own, watch the film with others at the library, and stay after the screening for a discussion of both book and film.

This month's book/film combination is James M. Cain's 1943 novel Double Indemnity. We will be watching the 1944 film of the same name, directed by Billy Wilder, starring Fred MacMurray, Barbara Stanwyck, and Edward G. Robinson. Nominated for 7 Academy awards, the film is widely regarded as a classic of the film noir genre. Check out one of the library's copies of the book to read before the film viewing.

Our next book/film will be Saturday, December 22. We'll be reading Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and watching Brian Henson's The Muppet Christmas Carol.
