Description: 
Works to provide legal representation to low-income Native American individuals, tribes and tribal entities, to secure and protect the full civil rights of California Indians, encourage the growth of Indian heritage, preserve and enhance the Indian land base in California, and secure self-determination and develop tribal governance throughout the state.
Services: 
Legal assistance and/or referrals, including but not limited to: Child welfare cases, Indian wills and estates, and civil rights issues. Generally, does not handle criminal cases, nor cases of Indian versus Indian. Community education and training related to Tribal Governance Development, Cultural Protection and other issues. Free tax preparation (using I-CAN! E-FILE)
Eligible: 
Within 125% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines (FPIG); limited services also for those within 200% of FPIG
