City department in charge of a variety of animal-related issues, to promote animal and public health, safety, and welfare.
Services: 
Provides a wide range of services to our cities’ residents and their pets. Field services, seven days a week, to the cities of Berkeley and Albany include the enforcement of city ordinances related to animals, removal of killed or injured wildlife. Provides a Shelter for domestic animals from the cities of Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, and Piedmont. Also offered are adoption services, advice on animal-related topics, lost and found pet reports, and free or low-cost spay/neuter vouchers for Berkeley residents’ dogs and cats.
