Volunteer at the Berkeley Public Library
The Berkeley Public Library has a wonderful group of enthusiastic volunteers who work with the public as Library Guides, Technology Helpers, and in other positions. We ask volunteers to work at least two hours a week and make a minimum three month commitment. The Library provides training appropriate to the task.
Applicants may download the volunteer form or pick one up at the Information desk at any library location. Return the completed form to the Information desk at any library location.

Volunteer Opportunities for Teens
Teenagers in grades 9-12 may download the teen volunteer form or pick one up at the Reference desk at any library location. Return the completed form, with a parent or guardian’s signature, to the Reference desk at any library location. Please note the availability of teen volunteer positions is limited. Berkeley Reads is the adult literacy program of the Berkeley Public Library. We offer a variety of literacy services for adult learners and their families. We are looking for volunteer adult literacy tutors. More information >>
