Project Management and Construction Administration Services
May 2009
Berkeley Public Library is pleased to announce the project management and construction administration services firm selected to work with City staff overseeing the renovation and expansion of the four neighborhood branch libraries:
Kitchell CEM
San Jose, CA
Kitchell CEM brings extensive project management experience to the branch renovation project, having worked on many civic projects, especially public libraries. Kitchell CEM is a 100% employee-owned, privately held firm with offices in San Jose. They are pleased to have been selected and thrilled to be working in Berkeley to assist the Library with its project oversight.
The Kitchell team will assist in all phases of design and construction management; provide construction oversight; provide schedule development, management and logistical support; provide project documentation and fiscal reporting on a quarterly basis; and assist with facilitating and conducting meetings.
Beginning this summer the Berkeley Public Library will engage the Berkeley community in the development of plans to expand and renovate their neighborhood branch libraries to make them seismically safe and ADA-accessible.
