Berkeley Public Library welcomes the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival as they present the touring company’s presentation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Saturday, January 26, 2013, 2 p. m. at the Central Library, 2090 Kittredge (at Shattuck). The free performance will take place in the library’s third floor Community Meeting Room. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is perhaps the most popular of Shakespeare’s comedies.  With impetuous lovers, quarreling fairies and the sheer slapstick energy of the Mechanicals’ play within a play, there’s something for everyone.  The 55 minute touring production presents a cast of professional actors in costume, with set, props, and recorded music.  After the play, the cast will meet with the audience for a question and answer session.
