October is Funding for the Arts month!  Two free workshops at the Berkeley Public Library

Friday, October 26, 2012 Berkeley Public Library, 2090 Kittredge Street (at Shattuck)

 

  1. Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts 1:00 - 2:20 P.M., 3rd floor Community Meeting RoomLearn how to identify and work with funders supporting individual artists, explore fiscal sponsorship options, and create a step-by-step plan to find funding.  This is an 80-minute workshop taught by the Foundation Center.   2. Social Media Marketing 2:30 - 4:00 P.M., 3rd floor Electronic Classroom  Explore social media marketing for artists with C2Arts.com consultant Amy Kweskin. Learn how to use social media messaging to market your arts online and how free Analytics tools can measure and monitor Internet ‘Street Cred’.  Participants will identify their target markets and explore how to speak to them using Twitter and Facebook.  Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops and tablet devices to the course.
