As part of the 4th Annual Downtown Berkeley MusicFest, the Berkeley Public Library proudly presents a free noontime concert featuring Kitka Trio on Thursday, August 25 at 12:15pm.  Three singers from Bay Area women’s vocal ensemble Kitka will perform their exquisite choral harmonies from Eastern Europe and beyond. The program takes place at the Central Berkeley Public Library, 5th Floor, 2090 Kittredge Street, which is wheelchair accessible. For questions regarding this program, call 510-981-6241 or visit www.berkeleypubliclibrary.org.  This FREE event is sponsored by the Friends of the Berkeley Public Library.  For accessibility information, call 510-981-6109, TTY 510-528-1240.   Ching Chang of the San Francisco Bay Times writes “Kitka’s songs are hauntingly beautiful, simple, yet otherworldly.  The rich sound these women produce resonates as if energized by the universe itself, as if it were calling all live beings and still matter into togetherness and unity.” Read more about the group at www.kitka.org.
